Infiltration and treatment of road run-off in Vejle

Vejle Municipality and Vejle Spildevand are working on testing Denmark's first roadside rain garden, which will treat the rainwater before it is infiltrated.

The road runoff is fed through a specially developed filtering humus which will remove heavy metals and xenobiotic substances from the rainwater.
