Municipal plans

The purpose of municipal plans is to prescribe the use of land in a given local authority. Municipal plans are the administrative basis for a local authority’s physical planning. These rolling plans set out the general goals for land development and use in a local authority and provide guidelines for land use and frameworks for local plan content. Although the inclusion of climate adaptation measures is not a requirement, there is nothing to prevent such initiatives being incorporated.
