In an open agricultural landscape is Blomstergården located - a micro-society where the elderly with a lot of life experiences, skills and special interests can find their way into the nursing home community, inside and outside. The development plan expresses an alternation between the dense urban spaces and the rural landscape.
Blomstergården is an example of how the WSUD can be used in a large scale context, when there is no capacity in the sewer to handle all the rainwater. A hollow in the landscape were utilized for the establishment of a rainwater basin. The basin currently has the character of the lake and has become a new recreational venue for both residents and local citizens in the area.
